Following in Monet’s Footsteps

July 6, 2025

Do you like standing exactly where an artist stood when he painted a masterpiece ? I find it so exciting I’ve made a book out of it! It is dedicated to Monet in Giverny and Vernon. The famous impressionist painted many, many works in this little corner of Northern France. I tried and located most of them, took a picture of the place, researched also if old photographs existed, and put them side by side.

The book is in two languages, English and French. It includes maps of the garden, of the village of Giverny and the town of Vernon. It also provides information about what to see related to Monet if you travel to Giverny. It is a thin book of 80 pages that will fit in your bag. The cost is 12.90 euros. It is available in the bookstores of Giverny and Vernon, of course. You can also order it online from the publisher, Orep editions.
